A mid-century modern teak sideboard featuring a rectangular top and warm, reddish-orange wood veneers. The unit is organised into three distinct compartments; two outer sections are enclosed by sliding doors, each opening to reveal a single adjustable-height shelf finished in a lighter maple or beech style wood ply. The central section comprises a vertical bank of five drawers with matching lighter wood interiors. The top drawer contains three integrated wooden dividers and is lined with a green felt material. The piece is fitted with integrated recessed hardware, including circular finger pulls on the sliding doors and horizontal oval pulls on the drawers. The carcass is supported by a recessed wooden frame with four square-tapered legs and longitudinal stretchers. The back panel is finished in an unfinished dark-toned ply. No manufacturer labels, stamps, or maker’s marks are legible on the interior or exterior surfaces. This lot comprises the sideboard only;
Condition report:
The sideboard is in good vintage condition with signs of age and use. The top surface shows minor scuffing, faint surface scratches, and small marks consistent with age (photo 3). There are small nicks and minor losses to the teak veneer along the lower edges of the base rail and corners (photo 1). The interior shelves and drawer boxes show light staining and marks from previous use (photo 6 and 7). The top drawer\'s green felt lining is intact but shows light wear (photo 7). The unfinished back panel exhibits some dark staining and water-mark style discoloration (photo 8). All sliding mechanisms and drawers appear functional.
