This auction ended on September 30, 2026.

Start price: £8

Estimated price: £8 - £14

Buyer's Premium: 20%

Sold for: £3

A collection of four framed wall items and one mirror. The group comprises a rectangular wall mirror featuring a wide, textured, neutral-toned frame with a patterned finish; a large horizontal airbrushed work on board depicting a dark circular or celestial form against a misty background with three stylized white birds in flight, which appears to be signed in the upper right corner with a script reading ‘Sanpal’ followed by a flourish; a small landscape print, possibly a lithograph, depicting a stone bridge over a stream in a floral garden, set within a deep purple mat and a gilded beaded frame; and a three-dimensional decoupage or paper tole work depicting a Supermarine Spitfire aircraft in flight over white coastal cliffs. The aircraft in the paper tole work bears the squadron code ‘DB-H’ and is housed in a dark wood frame with a gold-toned inner lip, featuring a printed white label to the right of the mat reading ‘SPITFIRE’. This lot comprises the five wall-mounted items only.

Condition report:

The items appear to be in good overall condition. Surface glare is visible on the glass across all framed pieces (photo 1). The airbrushed work shows some light surface marks consistent with its medium and age (photo 4). No chips or cracks are visible to the mirror glass or the glass fronts of the framed works. The frames show no significant losses, though there is minor expected wear to the edges.
