A collection of four vintage fishing rods constructed from fibreglass and featuring metal ferrules and guides. The group comprises assorted styles including spinning and boat rods, each presented with a corresponding fabric storage bag. The first rod is finished in dark blue with red accents at the tip and features large black spinning guides; it is accompanied by a light blue cloth bag bearing a label with a printed script logo reading “Shakespeare” above a blue and green device. The second rod is light blue with decorative gold and red thread whippings, paired with a maroon bag. The third rod is finished in a dark burgundy or brown tone with white trim rings and metal guides, accompanied by a light blue bag. The final rod features a cream or yellow finish with snake-style guides and a brown bag. All rods are shown disassembled into their respective sections.

Condition report:

The collection shows signs of age and use throughout. Surface dust and light grime are present on all rods and fabric bags (photo 1). Minor corrosion and oxidation are visible on several metal guides and ferrules across the group (photo 2). The fabric storage bags are creased and exhibit some staining and discolouration consistent with long-term storage (photo 1). One guide on the burgundy rod appears to be slightly bent (photo 2). The thread whippings remain largely intact, though some appear to have age-related drying (photo 2).
