A trio of vintage spiral-bound wall calendars featuring glamour photography, dating from the late 1980s. The assortment includes a 1989 calendar titled Jamaica 1989, which bears printed branding for Ferodo Limited, Chapel-En-Le-Frith, England and a T&N logo. This item also features a retailer stamp for D.P. Factors (S.W.) Ltd, Sutton Road, Cattedown, Plymouth. A second calendar is titled Mystique in stylized blue script and carries the same D.P. Factors (S.W.) Ltd distributor stamp on the backing card. The third calendar is titled Provence and is opened to the month of June. It features a large printed footer for Brakeparts (SW) Ltd, 40A St John’s Road, Cattedown, Plymouth. Each calendar is produced using offset lithography on cardstock and depicts female models in various settings, including tropical, boudoir, and rustic themes.
Condition report:
The calendars show significant signs of age and wear. Heavy foxing and brown spotting are visible across the paper and card surfaces, particularly on the Provence and Jamaica covers (photos 1 and 2). There is noticeable curling to the corners, edge wear, and creasing throughout the lot (photos 1, 3, and 4). Water staining and tidemarks are present along the bottom edges of the pages (photo 2). The spiral bindings exhibit signs of oxidation and surface rust (photo 3).
