A collection of British and world coins presented in a white plastic lattice basket. The group is largely composed of British currency from the first half of the 20th century. Visible denominations include several shillings featuring the English crest of three lions passant and the Scottish crest of a lion rampant, with examples bearing the legends FID DEF IND IMP and ONE SHILLING dated 1947. The assortment also contains larger white-metal coins, possibly florins or half crowns, including a piece showing a crowned shield reverse and another with the portrait of King George VI. A significant portion of the collection consists of copper or bronze pennies and halfpennies depicting a seated Britannia, alongside obverse portraits of King George V and King George VI. Included in the lot is a small square plastic case containing a single faceted clear gemstone or glass element. One small coin bears the legend FID DEF. The lot also includes a red and white paper printed insert reading ANYWHERE and ESSIS.

Condition report:

The coins exhibit varying degrees of circulation wear, ranging from fine to very fine. Significant darkening and heavy toning are visible across the copper and bronze pieces, with surface oxidation present on several examples. The silver-coloured coins show typical surface scratches and contact marks consistent with general circulation. The plastic case for the faceted element appears intact with no visible cracks.
