A collection of costume jewellery comprising a diverse range of necklaces, chains, and decorative components. The assortment features a variety of materials including multi-strand faux pearl necklaces, molded glass and faceted acrylic beads, and large geometric mother-of-pearl or shell-style plates. Notable items within the group include a large circular white metal pendant decorated with brown and blue cabochon stones in a bohemian style, and several gold-tone and silver-tone metal chains in curb and snake link varieties. The collection also incorporates zebra-patterned enamel or plastic beads, as well as components that appear to be carved resin or cinnabar style. The items exhibit a range of styles from mid-20th-century vintage to contemporary fashion accessories. No legible maker’s marks or designer signatures were identified during inspection.
Condition report:
The jewellery is stored loose in a plastic container, resulting in some tangling of chains and strands. Several faux pearls show visible loss and peeling to the nacre coating. The metal components exhibit expected age-related patination and surface wear. A few individual beads and components show minor surface scratching consistent with bulk storage. Overall condition is fair for a secondary market collection.
