A collection of assorted art glass and commemorative glassware featuring a variety of techniques including cased, sommerso, and hand-painted decoration. The lot includes a pair of yellow and white marbled glass cylindrical vases decorated with hand-painted floral sprays and a central gilded band. Royal memorabilia includes a clear pressed glass bowl featuring a central medallion with a portrait and the circular inscription TO COMMEMORATE THE CORONATION OF KING EDWARD VIII MAY 12 1937, and a clear pint glass etched with a royal crest and the text KING CHARLES III CORONATION 6TH MAY 2023. Further items include three tall slender bottleneck vases in teal and smoky tones, a heavy emerald green glass bowl encased in clear glass, and two turquoise blue vases. Also included are two green glass rectangular bottles with stoppers, one featuring embossed text to the side, and a brown glass bottle with a printed GUINNESS logo and harp. The group is completed by several clear cut and etched glass utility pieces, including a lidded preserve jar and a floral etched goblet.
Condition report:
The collection generally appears to be in good condition. The pair of yellow vases shows minor surface wear and rubbing to the gilded bands (photo 4). The small turquoise bud vase exhibits minor rubbing to the gold-toned rim (photo 1). No significant chips, cracks, or structural damage are visible across the items in the provided photographs.
