A group of three contemporary paintings featuring various natural history and botanical subjects. The collection includes a framed mallard duck study, a square cornflower study with bees, and a vertical lemon tree topiary. The mallard duck is depicted in an expressive, stylised pose with wings outstretched on deckle-edged paper, set against a light background with blue splattered details. This piece is housed in a grey wood-effect frame behind glass and bears the painted initials LAB to the upper right corner. The second work is a square canvas featuring two bumblebees feeding on purple cornflowers or knapweeds, signed J.Bannon to the upper right edge. The third artwork is a vertical rectangular canvas depicting a lemon tree in a white decorative planter, with the artist’s name Kathryn White painted to the lower right corner. The canvases are gallery-wrapped over wooden stretchers.
Condition report:
The framed duck painting appears in good condition with no visible damage to the paper or frame; some surface reflections are present on the glass (photo 1). The two canvas paintings show no visible signs of tearing, staining, or loss to the paint layers (photos 2, 3, 5, and 6). The cornflower canvas has a small dark mark or indentation to the top right edge near the signature (photo 3).
