A Dimplex ROD20 inset coal-effect electric fire designed for hearth mounting. The unit features a contemporary brushed stainless steel surround and a curved grate section containing a simulated coal bed composed of dark synthetic stones. An adhesive label on the rear casing confirms the origin as Made in Ireland and identifies the manufacturer as Dimplex, Model ROD20, Series E. The technical specifications listed on the label include an operating voltage of ~230-240V/50Hz, total wattage between 1893W-2073W, and heating elements rated at 1820W-2000W. The internal mechanism utilises a 60W bulb and two 6.5W motors to create the flame effect. The label also displays the CE mark and the BEAB Approved mark. The unit is fitted with a standard black power cord.
Condition report:
The stainless steel frame shows visible surface dust and light scratching consistent with previous use (photo 1). There is an accumulation of fine debris and dust around the base and within the crevices of the simulated coal bed (photo 2). The rear black metal casing exhibits minor surface wear and light scuffing (photo 3). The electrical functionality and heating elements have not been tested.
