A collection of five decorative sculptures primarily featuring rural and folkloric English themes. The lot includes a multi-figure glazed earthenware group depicting eight men seated in a row within a dark brown glazed enclosure, representing characters from the folk song Widecombe Fair. A hand-painted inscription along the front rim reads BILL BREWER JAN STEWER PETER GURNEY PETER DAVEY TOM COBLEY AND ALL WITH DANL BERRY ANKE. The base features a hand-painted black mark reading Somerset Pottery under a stylized signature. Also included are three painted resin sculptures on wooden plinths and two additional display bases. One resin sculpture depicts a standing hunter in tweeds with two black Labradors, bearing a gold adhesive label to the underside reading Country Artists by Richard Cooper & Company STRATFORD-UPON-AVON ENGLAND. A second resin sculpture features a seated shepherd with a lamb and Border Collie, and the third depicts a Mute Swan on a nest with three cygnets. The two additional circular tiered wooden bases feature green velvet tops and gold-painted rims.

Condition report:

The earthenware character group shows a significant repaired crack running vertically through the right side of the base and into the back wall of the enclosure (photo 7). General fine surface crazing is visible across the glazed ceramic surfaces. The three resin figures and the additional wooden bases appear in good condition with minor dust accumulation consistent with display.
