A set of four sterling silver mounted vanity accessories featuring a polished finish with engine-turned linear detailing throughout. The collection comprises a circular hand mirror, an oval hairbrush, a clothes brush, and a comb. The mounts are constructed from precious metal and fitted with light-coloured bristles to the brushes, and a cream-coloured synthetic body to the comb. Each piece is stamped with the characters 925 STERLING. These marks are applied to the handle of the hand mirror, the handle of the hairbrush, the side of the clothes brush, and the spine of the comb. The mirror contains a circular glass plate. No maker marks or manufacturer names are legible on any of the pieces.
Condition report:
The set shows surface scratches and scuffing consistent with use across all silver mounts (photo 1). There is minor tarnishing to the silver surfaces. A visible crack is present in the silver mount at the base of the hairbrush head (photo 4). The brush bristles exhibit some fraying and light discoloration (photos 3 and 4). The circular mirror plate appears intact without visible chips.
