A collection of hardwood furniture, primarily constructed from teak and other secondary timbers. The group includes a nest of three rectangular occasional tables featuring slender, tapered legs and solid wood tops. Also present is a small circular pedestal table with a tripod base and a Mid-Century Modern coffee table designed with a distinctive curved frame and a glass inset top. The vernacular pieces include a low stool or charpoy featuring a woven rope seat in a geometric pattern of red, green, and cream, and a smaller wooden stand or stool with intricate hand-carved foliate and floral motifs to the side panels. A further small stool or footstool is present with an upholstered floral fabric seat. No manufacturer marks, labels, or designer signatures are visible on any of the pieces.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of age-appropriate wear throughout. Surface scratches and minor scuffs are visible on the tops and legs of the nesting tables and the circular table. The woven seat of the charpoy-style stool appears intact with no visible fraying or breaks. The carved stool displays some light dust accumulation in the recessed areas of the foliate decoration. The upholstered stool shows minor fading to the fabric and some wear to the wooden frame. The glass top of the coffee table appears free from major chips or cracks, although surface scratching is present. All items appear structurally sound based on the provided photograph.
