This lot comprises a pair of garden obelisks manufactured for the retailer Wilko. Each item is constructed from durable silver effect coated steel tubing and is designed for the support of climbing plants and roses. The obelisks feature a cylindrical form with a decorative domed top and horizontal support rings. The product is contained within its original commercial retail cardboard packaging, which is printed with the retailer’s name and product details. The front of each box features a green leaf graphic with the text ‘get gardening’ and a small ladybird motif. A printed label on the packaging reads ‘wilko silver effect obelisk for climbing plants & roses 1.8m approx attractive and functional silver effect durable coated steel tubing quick and easy to assemble (instructions inside)’. The specifications on the box indicate each unit is approximately 1.85m high, 40cm wide, and 40cm deep.
Condition report:
The items remain in their original retail packaging. Both cardboard boxes show visible signs of storage wear, including creasing and edge wear throughout (photo 1). There are small tears and punctures to the cardboard on the front and sides of both boxes (photo 1). One box has a handwritten mark in black ink (photo 1). The internal components have not been removed for inspection, but appear secure within the sealed or partially taped packaging.
