Sold for: £360
A wedding band constructed from 22ct yellow gold. The ring features a traditional D-shape profile, presenting a curved exterior and a flat interior surface. The interior of the band is struck with a sequence of five hallmarks. These include a crown, the numerical purity mark 22, and an anchor town mark for the Birmingham Assay Office. Further marks include a lowercase date letter in a shield and a maker’s mark comprising two or three capital letters, though these final two stamps are not clearly legible.
Weight: approximately 5.2g.
Condition report:
The ring exhibits surface wear consistent with regular use, including numerous fine scratches and small nicks to the exterior gold surface (photo 1). The original high-polish finish has dulled over time. The interior hallmarks remain well-defined and clearly legible (photo 2).
