A collection of vintage desk accessories and decorative studio pottery. The group includes two gold-toned Cross ballpoint pens in a 12kt gold-filled presentation case, alongside a boxed set of chrome-finished pens and a uni-ball Fine Deluxe waterproof pen. Navigational instruments comprise a liquid-filled baseplate compass with a red cord and a small magnifying lens. The ceramic selection features a large wall-hanging cat mask, a stylised cat figurine, and a fish-shaped vessel. The cat mask bears a circular printed stamp to the underside reading COMBE POTTERY DECORATED BY ANNE DESIGN ENGLAND. The stylised cat figurine is hand-marked to the base in black ink PRIORY POTTERY JERSEY. The lot further includes a red lighter and a blue cabochon brooch in a small cardboard box.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of age and use throughout. The ceramic cat mask displays significant surface crazing to the glaze and some minor surface grime (photo 2). The Priory Pottery cat figurine shows similar fine crazing across the cream-coloured glaze (photo 3). The Cross presentation case and other pen boxes show surface wear and scuffing to the exterior and interior linings (photo 1). The paper backing on the compass assembly is aged with some creasing (photo 1).
