A collection of vintage domestic textiles and soft furnishings, primarily comprising bedding and decorative items. The lot includes several cream-coloured cushions featuring hand or machine-embroidered floral motifs, including a pair with a continuous border of wildflowers in shades of blue, red, and purple, and a single cushion with a central spray of pink roses and foliage. The collection also contains a white quilted duvet or bedspread with grey piped edging, and various folded linens such as sheets or tablecloths, some of which feature crocheted or lace-trimmed borders. Additionally, there are two sets of folded, striped linens in purple and yellow colourways, stored in protective plastic packaging. A white textile featuring a butterfly and floral motif embroidered in brown and green tones is also present. A green and white plastic retail bag is included, showing printed text for Lawsons, Totnes and Tavistock, and the web address www.lawson.co.uk. The items are constructed from cotton, linen, and synthetic materials.
Condition report:
The textiles are in used vintage condition and show general creasing consistent with long-term storage (photo 1). Some light surface dust and loose fibres are visible on the white quilted items (photo 4). The items appear to be stored in a utilitarian environment on a wooden shelf; while no major tears or heavy staining are visible in the provided images, individual pieces have not been unfolded for full internal inspection. The striped linens remain in protective plastic (photo 3).
