A collection of approximately 100 vinyl records comprising both 12-inch LPs and 7-inch singles, primarily dating from the 1970s and 1980s. The assortment focuses on mainstream pop, rock, soul, and new wave. The 12-inch LPs include Michael Jackson Bad (Epic 450290 1), Genesis Invisible Touch (GEN LP2), Marillion Misplaced Childhood (EMI DBLP 503), and Donna Summer Cats Without Claws (Geffen 250 806-1). The group features a comprehensive run of studio albums by ABBA including Arrival, Voulez-Vous, Waterloo, The Visitors, Super Trouper, and Greatest Hits. Other notable LPs include The Specials, UB40 Geffery Morgan, and Adam and the Ants Kings of the Wild Frontier and Prince Charming.
The 7-inch singles, many housed in original picture sleeves, include Europe The Final Countdown (Epic A 7127), Culture Club Time (Clock of the Heart), Duran Duran Save a Prayer (EMI 5327) and Hungry Like the Wolf, and multiple singles by Adam and the Ants including Car Trouble, Ant Rap, Friend or Foe, and Goody Two Shoes. Further titles include Sade Paradise, Erasure Sometimes, and Rod Stewart Baby Jane. The collection also includes various children’s records from the Top of the Tots and Junior Choice series, alongside various Christmas compilations. Visible labels include RCA, CBS, Decca, Magnet, Germain, and BBC Records, the latter featuring a single for the television series Monkey Magic (RESL 66). One white sleeve bears a handwritten annotation reading Judy Boucher You Caught my Eye.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in used condition. Sleeves generally range from fair to very good. Many 7-inch picture sleeves exhibit significant ring wear, creasing, and edge fraying (photo 2, 3, 5). Several white card and paper sleeves show foxing, brown staining, and handwritten annotations (photo 2, 6). The Duran Duran Save a Prayer sleeve has an adhesive retail price sticker (photo 4). Discs were not inspected outside of sleeves; however, horizontal stacking evident in the storage images (photo 1) indicates a potential for surface marks or warping. Several 7-inch discs are missing original sleeves and are held in generic paper or plastic liners (photo 5, 6).
