A collection of vintage photographic equipment and studio accessories comprising a slide projector, professional lighting, and backgrounds. The lot includes a Rank Aldis slide projector in its original brown and orange cardboard box, which features a grid of sixteen rectangles. Accompanying the projector are several boxed accessories: a blue box for an Artex stippler, a red and white box for Nutex photographic products, and two boxes for Metz electronic flash units, including one for a 60 CT-1 model. The lighting equipment consists of a Kaiser Typ 3085 dual-head studio lamp, made in Germany, featuring two 1000 W lamps and a central handle with two red rocker switches. A technical label on the unit provides an exposure table for film speeds from 12 to 100 ASA. The lot further includes five individually bagged Colourscape poly-cotton photographic backgrounds in various colours including red, light grey, dark grey, and brown. A vintage brown faux-leather equipment case with a green fabric-lined interior is also present, containing various translucent plastic diffusers or filter holders.
Condition report:
The items are housed in original vintage packaging which shows significant shelf wear, tearing, and age-related discoloration (photos 1 and 3). The Kaiser lighting unit shows minor surface dust to the black plastic housing (photo 5). It carries a safety testing sticker dated 2/6/97 and a warranty seal, but will require modern safety re-testing before use. The background cloths remain in their original plastic retail packaging and appear unused (photo 2). The interior of the equipment case shows some minor signs of age to the elasticated loops (photo 4).
