A collection of mahogany occasional tables comprising a drum-top library table, a pair of wine tables, a two-tier Canterbury/whatnot, and a Sutherland table. The drum table features a circular top with a central burl wood panel, likely yew or walnut, within a cross-banded border and dark stringing. It is supported by a turned pedestal on four splayed legs terminating in brass-effect lion’s paw feet with casters, and the frieze contains two functional drawers with circular brass pull handles. The pair of matching wine tables include solid mahogany circular tops with molded dished rims, set on turned fluted pedestals with tripod cabriole legs. The two-tier Canterbury includes rectangular tiers with turned corner posts and finials, over a single base drawer with a brass swing handle on a plinth base. The Sutherland table features deep drop-leaves forming an oval top with burl wood veneers and dark stringing, standing on fixed end-support pedestals joined by a turned stretcher with two gate-legs. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the pieces.
