Sold for: £3
A contemporary floor lamp in a mother and child style, constructed from metal with a brushed antique brass effect finish. The fixture features a twin-pole stem supporting a primary uplighter bowl with a central frosted glass diffuser and a secondary adjustable reading lamp mounted on a flexible gooseneck arm. The central control housing is fitted with two independent rotary dimmer switches. The main uplighter is designed for a linear halogen bulb, while the reading arm is fitted with a smaller capsule-style bulb. The lamp is wired with a gold-coloured cord and a white UK three-pin plug. A small white adhesive label is present on the interior of the main bowl reading K1295. A small circular white label is adhered to the stem, and a rectangular silver-toned label is fixed to the control housing, though the text on these labels is not clearly legible in the images. The base is a weighted circular disc matching the metal finish of the stem and shades. This lot comprises the lamp only; the mattresses, shelving, and other background items shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The metalwork shows minor surface wear and a light accumulation of dust throughout. There is a visible scuff or area of finish loss on the circular base (photo 4). The frosted glass diffuser in the main bowl appears intact with no visible cracks. The flexible gooseneck arm retains its tension and allows for positioning of the reading light. The electrical cord is tangled around the stem and should be professionally tested before use.
