A collection of decorative ceramics and porcelain items, primarily of British manufacture. The group includes a fine bone china Royal Doulton figurine titled Bathtime Bunnykins, number DB 148, depicting a rabbit in a dressing gown, marked with a brown circular backstamp dated 1994. Also included is a pair of Hornsea Pottery earthenware troughs in the form of stylized fish, decorated with blue and black linear scales on a cream ground and bearing a green printed manufacturer’s mark. The assortment features two miniature porcelain top hat vases with heraldic crests for Seaview I.W. and Newton Abbot, one marked for Swan China; a pair of earthenware salt and pepper shakers modelled as thatched cottages, stamped Made in Japan in red ink; and a set of four square glazed earthenware tiles with hand-painted floral motifs, signed and dated M.W. 97, M.W. 94, and M.W. 95. Further items comprise a pink floral porcelain dressing table set with tray, candlesticks, and lidded pots; four matte black abstract scoop-form vessels; a commemorative Mayflower Post House plate with black transfer print; a blue and white thimble-themed plate; and various creamers and small dishes.
Condition report:
The Royal Doulton figurine has a significant chip to the front edge of the circular base (photo 6). The Hornsea Pottery fish troughs show visible crazing to the glaze (photo 10) but otherwise appear intact. There is minor paint loss to the chimneys of the cottage-form shakers (photo 13). The hand-painted tiles exhibit scuffing to the edges (photo 7). The remainder of the collection appears to be in good condition with no other visible faults.
