A Dreamworld Jade divan bed only consisting of a standard double 4’6″ mattress and a matching split-base divan with integrated storage drawers. The mattress features a white quilted damask cover decorated with a repeating foliate pattern and is constructed with a posturepedic spring system. The mattress bears a large rectangular cream-coloured satin-effect label with a decorative scroll border and two cherub motifs. The label reads DREAMWORLD in stylized script above JADE in capital letters, and notes FEATURES THE FAMOUS POSTUREPEDIC SPRING SYSTEM, UNIQUE DOUBLE OFF-SET MATTRESS AND TORSION SPRUNG DIVAN, and SPLIT BASE FOR EASY ACCESS. A smaller tag at the lower edge states EXCLUSIVELY MADE FOR MEMBERS OF ASSOCIATED INDEPENDENT STORES LTD. A Sealy logo is present in the bottom corner of the main label with the text The World’s Best Selling Beds and an instruction to please turn the mattress regularly. The set includes a split divan base upholstered in a matching light-coloured fabric, featuring built-in storage drawers on the side.
Condition report:
The mattress shows signs of domestic use including a small dark surface mark on the top quilting (photo 1) and minor general surface soiling consistent with age. The side handles and perimeter piping remain intact. The divan base displays some light scuffing and wear to the fabric around the corners and lower edges near the floor (photo 3). The structural integrity of the mattress and base appears sound.
