A collection of eighteen assorted ladies fashion wristwatches, predominantly comprising contemporary cuff, bangle, and dress styles. The group is constructed from base metals with various plated finishes including yellow gold-tone, rose gold-tone, silver-tone, and gunmetal-tone. The timepieces feature quartz movements and are variously decorated with clear and multi-coloured synthetic stones, animal print enamel, and filigree metalwork. Notable items include a wide tank-style bracelet watch with five rows of crystals, the case back stamped VERSALES, STAINLESS STEEL BACK, JAPAN MOVT, BASE METAL BEZEL, CHINA; a rose gold-tone link watch with the dial marked ELITE and case back stamped ELITE, GENEVA, QUARTY, STAINLESS STEEL BACK; and a multi-coloured stone watch with a dial marked Xanadu and case back stamped Xanadu, STAINLESS STEEL BACK, JAPAN MOVT. A dark brown-tone watch features a dial marked Sophie and a matching case back stamp. Other marks present include a gold-tone cuff dial marked VALI, and various generic stamps to case backs reading JAPAN MOVT and STAINLESS STEEL BACK.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of light to moderate wear consistent with previous use. Visible tarnishing and plating loss is present on several base metal surfaces, particularly to the interior of the cuff bands (photos 3 and 5). Surface scratches are visible to some crystals and cases. The mechanical status of the quartz movements is unconfirmed and all items are sold as untested; batteries likely require replacement.
