A collection of assorted blankets and bedspreads featuring a variety of materials and decorative designs. The lot includes a large celestial themed fleece blanket with a multi-paneled design depicting a crescent moon, stars, a stylized sun, raindrops, and a comet set against blocks of blue, brown, green, and cream, finished with a brown fabric binding. Also present is a lightweight woven bedspread in a cream base colour with a repeating geometric pattern of interlocking squares in muted blue and grey tones. A traditional woolen style blanket features a plaid pattern in shades of purple, teal, and dark blue with blanket-stitched edges; a small fabric label is attached to one corner featuring a pictorial device of a leaping animal and stylized text which is not clearly legible. Completing the group is a solid light blue blanket with a soft, napped surface texture. The collection demonstrates a variety of weaving and manufacturing techniques suitable for domestic utility.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition consistent with domestic utility. The light blue blanket exhibits localized discolouration and staining towards the centre (photo 6). The cream geometric bedspread shows prominent fold lines from long-term storage (photo 4). All items show general signs of surface wear, including pilling to the fleece and wool surfaces (photos 2, 3, and 5). No major tears or significant fraying to the edges are visible in the provided images.
