A late 20th-century British teak dining suite manufactured by Nathan Furniture. The suite consists of a rectangular dining table and six matching chairs. The table is constructed with a teak-veneered top and solid wood edges, supported by four square-section tapered legs. The set of six chairs includes two carver chairs with shaped armrests and four side chairs. Each chair features a backrest with three vertical slats and a padded seat upholstered in a sepia-toned dralon fabric decorated with a small-scale geometric pattern. Maker’s labels are present on the inner frames, including a black and gold adhesive label reading Nathan The master craftsmen. A fire safety label provides a batch date of 28th March 1989 and specifies the upholstery as Sepia Dralon Cover.
Condition report:
The suite is in good, used condition consistent with its age and use. The tabletop exhibits surface wear, including light scratches and a visible ring mark. The chairs appear structurally sound; one chair retains a small paper sticker from a previous sale. Several table legs are currently shimmed with cardboard coasters. The upholstery is intact but would benefit from light cleaning.
