A mid-century modern starburst wall clock manufactured by Metamec, Dereham, England. The timepiece features a central circular dial in a brushed silver-tone finish, set with stylised black Arabic numerals at the twelve, three, six, and nine o’clock positions, interspersed with baton indices. The dial is printed with the maker’s name Metamec and Made in England. The clock is housed within a decorative frame consisting of alternating rays, comprising eight pointed chrome-finished metal spikes and eight flared rays with a teak-style wood grain laminate finish. The reverse is fitted with a battery-operated quartz movement.
Condition report:
The clock is in good used condition. There is visible surface wear, including minor pitting and oxidation to the chrome elements, and light surface scratches consistent with age and use. The wood-effect laminate remains intact. The movement is untested and functionality is not guaranteed.
