Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises two pieces of mid-20th-century furniture manufactured by W. Lusty and Sons and an associated decorative textile panel. The furniture includes a classic tub chair with a natural brown finish, featuring a characteristic continuous curved back and armrest design with a tightly woven seat. The second furniture item is a circular occasional table finished in white paint, consisting of a three-legged frame supporting a woven top and a circular lower tier. The table top is fitted with a protective glass plate. Both pieces are constructed using the Lloyd Loom technique of woven paper-wrapped wire. The furniture bears a paper label which reads: LLOYD LOOM a Lusty product Registered Trade Mark. The textile panel is a circular decorative table mat or applique block, displayed under the glass top of the white table. It features hand-stitched fabric applique on a light grey-blue textured fabric ground. The design consists of a botanical motif depicting tall yellow flowers and smaller purple blossoms with variegated green leaves.

Condition report:

The chair weave is generally sound with minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The white table displays expected paint chipping and scuffing, particularly around the feet and lower edges of the wicker. The glass top has minor surface scratches but no significant chips or cracks. The textile panel appears to be in very good condition and has been well-preserved by the protective glass.
