An assortment of vintage mantel, wall and novelty clocks. The collection features a Bentima mantel clock with an arched tortoiseshell-effect case on a brass-tone base, the dial signed Bentima. Included are oak-cased mantel clocks, with dials marked Made in Great Britain and one featuring an 8-day movement. The lot also contains Black Forest style cuckoo clocks, with examples featuring traditional carved foliage or hand-painted floral motifs such as edelweiss and gentians. Other items comprise a pictorial wall clock with a scene of a robin on a holly branch, a chrome table clock with a deep blue dial and diamond logo, and a square orange plastic wall clock face. An instruction manual for a cuckoo clock is also present.
Condition report:
The items are in varying states of repair with signs of age-related wear throughout. The cuckoo clocks are incomplete, lacking weights and requiring reassembly. Visible wear including surface scratches, scuffs, and dust is present on the wooden and plastic cases. The chrome components show minor surface marking and pitting. The orange clock face is an incomplete component. All mechanical movements are untested and sold as seen.
