An assortment of vintage toys, games, and literature from various manufacturers including Hornby, Matchbox, and LEGO. The collection comprises a boxed Hornby Railways Electric Train set featuring blue and white passenger coaches in a red box marked with the code 798E. Also included is a boxed Matchbox S-100 Streak-Set and a promotional Matchbox die-cast truck for Castrol GTX in its original yellow and green cardboard sleeve. Loose die-cast vehicles feature a Matchbox motorway maintenance truck, a white sports car, a green custom hot rod with an exposed chrome engine, a red Formula 1 racing car, and a red and grey flatbed lorry. Other items include a LEGO booklet numbered 0931, a yellow bus-shaped box of Animal Crayons, a metal student microscope, a red and yellow plastic tabletop pinball machine, and a small plastic astronaut figure. The lot further contains a blue plastic container with miscellaneous items such as a box marked On The Road and a small wooden box. Materials include die-cast metal, moulded plastic, cardboard, and paper.
Condition report:
The collection is in play-worn condition throughout. Boxed sets exhibit significant distress, including crushing, tearing, and old adhesive tape repairs. The Matchbox S-100 set is secured with a rubber band and shows heavy wear with a white Fragile tape repair to the corner. Die-cast vehicles show expected paint loss and surface wear consistent with age. Paper ephemera and cardboard packaging show creasing and corner wear. All electrical and mechanical components are untested. Completeness of boxed sets cannot be verified.
