A vintage brown textured jewellery case featuring a top handle and a metal lock stamped with the word BRITISH. The interior is lined with green velvet and includes a removable multi-compartment tray. The lot includes a ladies Citizen Quartz wristwatch featuring a rectangular black dial with gold-tone hour markers and hands. The dial is marked CITIZEN QUARTZ and JAPAN 2200 – 244815. The watch is fitted with a two-tone silver and gold-tone link bracelet. The collection contains an assortment of costume jewellery comprising multiple strands of faux pearls and beaded necklaces in shades of burgundy, navy, and teal. Included is a silver-tone link bracelet set with various multi-coloured enamelled souvenir shield charms. Several costume brooches are present, set with clear and coloured paste stones, including a large lizard-form brooch set with clear and black stones. Also present is a circular blue jasperware-style cameo brooch depicting a classical figure and a silver-tone brooch featuring an edelweiss motif. A pair of gold-tone drop earrings set with pearls and pavé-set stones is presented in a DEBENHAMS branded case. A pair of pearl stud earrings is contained within a red heart-shaped box. Various diamante necklaces, pins, and loose beaded elements are included within the case.
Condition report:
The outer case shows significant wear, including scuffing, loss of finish to the textured surface, and a missing section of material on the top left corner. The interior green velvet shows fading and wear consistent with age. Jewellery items appear in used condition; some beaded strands are tangled, and some metal surfaces exhibit tarnishing or finish loss. The watch is currently untested and sold as seen.
