Fortnightly Auctions Of Antiques, Collectables, General Furniture and Effects. New Lots Added Daily.
This lot consists of two men’s wristwatches, both housed in presentation boxes. The first is a Klaus Kobec rectangular dress watch featuring a gold and silver-tone metal case and an integrated two-tone multi-link bracelet with a deployment clasp. The silvered sunburst dial is set with gold-tone applied baton indices, Arabic numerals at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions, and a date aperture at 6 o’clock. The dial is marked with a K logo and Klaus-Kobec. It is presented in an original Klaus Kobec box with a Plymouth auction tag.
The second is a Royal Navy themed chronograph wristwatch with a stainless steel case and a three-row link bracelet. The dark purple sunburst dial is decorated with three sub-dials and the Royal Navy logo surmounted by the White Ensign. The bezel features degree increments and cardinal compass points. It is contained within a plain black card box. Both timepieces are powered by presumed quartz movements.
Case sizes: Klaus Kobec 30mm x 45mm; Royal Navy 40mm diameter.
Condition report:
The Klaus Kobec watch displays light surface scratches consistent with occasional use; the interior of the presentation box shows significant foxing and brown spotting. The Royal Navy chronograph shows signs of regular wear with multiple fine scratches and scuffs to the bezel, case, and crystal. Both watches are sold as untested for timekeeping and functionality.
