A collection of 33 men’s fraternal and decorative costume jewellery rings presented in a black foam-lined display box. The items are constructed from gold-tone and silver-tone base metals. Decorative elements across the lot include enamel, faceted glass stones, rhinestones, faux turquoise, and resin.
The collection features a significant number of rings with fraternal and lodge-related symbolism:
Masonic: Multiple rings featuring the Square and Compasses, several with a central G.
Scottish Rite: Two rings display the 32nd degree double-headed eagle motif.
Order of the Eastern Star: One ring featuring a central pentagram with the letters F, A, T, A, and L on the points, surrounded by a border inscribed with the names ADAH, RUTH, ESTHER, MARTHA, and ELECTA.
Knights Templar: One silver-tone ring features a red-enamelled cross and crown motif.
The lot also contains various heraldic and dress rings:
One heraldic crest ring features scrolls with Latin inscriptions: BONUM, CERTA CERTAMEN, FIDES, and CARITAS.
A gold-tone ring set with a black rectangular stone features an emblem depicting a building structure.
Several large dress rings are set with oversized faceted glass stones in shades of blue, red, and amber, alongside a faux turquoise cabochon ring and rings with rhinestone borders.
Condition report:
The collection is in used condition. There is visible wear and thinning to the gold-tone and silver-tone plating, particularly on the shanks and high-relief areas of the designs. Surface scratches are present on several of the glass stones and resin inserts. No missing stones are apparent upon visual inspection.
