A collection of cut glass and crystal decanters of varying forms. The assortment includes a tall lead crystal decanter featuring deep wheel-cut diamond patterns to the lower body and a faceted neck, completed by a matching faceted orb stopper. Also present is a square-bodied spirit decanter with starburst and cross-cut diamond decoration and a square faceted stopper. A third piece is a cylindrical glass decanter in the late Georgian style with wide vertical flutes and two raised rings to the neck, finished with a faceted mushroom shaped stopper. Completing the group is a globular glass decanter featuring vertical fluting to the neck and shoulder with a plain spherical glass stopper. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on any of the vessels.
Condition report:
The collection is in good overall condition. No chips, cracks, or bruises are visible to the glass bodies or stoppers (Photos 1-4). The glass is bright and clear with no internal cloudiness or water staining. There is minor surface scratching to the underside of the bases consistent with age.
