A collection of cut lead crystal glassware including examples by Edinburgh Crystal. This assortment features a variety of table and decorative items, including a large footed comport featuring deep diamond and cross-hatch cutting, a circular divided dish with a starburst-cut base, and a handled basket with diamond-cut patterns. Two rose bowls are included; one is finished with a polished silver-toned metal rim and an integrated wire frog, while the second utilises a removable wire mesh frog. The collection further contains two stemmed dessert glasses with fan and starburst cutting, as well as several circular bowls of varying sizes with traditional hobnail and leaf decoration. A purple presentation box is included, bearing a diamond-shaped logo with a lion rampant and the text ‘EDINBURGH CRYSTAL Est 1867’ and ‘Enduring Elegance from the Capital of Scotland’. No acid-etched signatures or further manufacturer marks are visible on the individual glassware pieces.

Condition report:

The glassware remains clear with no visible sickness or clouding across the collection (photos 1-4). The metal wire frog on the rimless rose bowl shows some slight oxidation and minor bending of the mesh (photo 1). No significant chips, cracks, or large abrasions are visible in the photographs, though the sharp edges of the cutting may show minor nibbles consistent with use (photos 1, 2, and 4).
