This lot comprises a Lladró glazed porcelain figurine depicting a young boy surrounded by dogs. The figurine, titled New Playmates or Mis Amigos, features a boy dressed in a pale blue outfit seated on the ground, cradling five puppies while a larger brown and white dog rests behind him. The piece is finished in a high-gloss glaze with a characteristic palette of muted pastel colours. The underside of the base features a blue underglaze factory mark consisting of a bellflower symbol above the word LLADRÓ, followed by HAND MADE IN SPAIN and © DAISA 1987. The model number 5456 is incised into the porcelain on the base. The lot is accompanied by its original manufacturer’s cardboard box, which bears a product label printed with the Lladró logo, the model number 05456, and the titles MIS AMIGOS and NEW PLAYMATES. A small yellow circular adhesive label with the number 275 is also present on the base.
