This lot comprises a vintage Royal manual desktop typewriter only. The machine is constructed from cast metal with a black crinkle-textured finish and a standard QWERTY keyboard featuring circular metal-rimmed keys. The paper table bears a printed stylised wordmark reading ROYAL in a curved rectangle, and a matching printed mark is positioned on the front frame plate above the keyboard. Function keys include those reading BACK SPACER, TAB KEY, SHIFT LOCK, and SHIFT KEY. The typewriter is missing its ribbon spool covers, exposing two metal spools and a black fabric ribbon. A carriage return lever is fitted to the left side of the carriage. This lot comprises the typewriter only; the desk and other interior items shown in the photographs are not included.
Condition report:
Significant dust accumulation is present throughout the machine and internal mechanisms (photo 1). Surface oxidation and pitting are visible on the chrome and steel parts, particularly the carriage components and key rings (photo 2). The ribbon spool covers are missing (photo 1). The crinkle finish shows general wear and surface marks, including a small white adhesive sticker on the front left frame (photo 2).
