This lot comprises a 22ct yellow gold wedding band featuring a plain D-section profile. The band is constructed from solid 22ct yellow gold with a rounded exterior and a flat interior edge. The interior of the band bears a series of British hallmarks, including an impressed rectangular mark containing the characters L, & and W. Additional marks include a crown standard mark, the numerals 22 denoting the fineness, and an anchor symbol representing the Birmingham Assay Office. A single lowercase letter u is struck within a shaped shield.

Weight: Approximately 2.38g.

Condition report:

The ring exhibits moderate wear consistent with age and regular use. There are numerous fine surface scratches and small indentations visible across the exterior surface (photo 1). The gold has developed a dulled finish rather than a bright polish. The band remains structurally sound and retains its circular form without visible evidence of thinning or repair.
