A collection of small glazed Wade Whimsies ceramic animal figurines. The assortment includes various animal subjects such as a duck, a squirrel, a lamb, a cat, a terrier dog, a bear, a goat, and a seal. Each figurine is finished in multi-coloured glazes featuring shades of brown, green, blue, and white. The collection is currently mounted onto a wooden display board with adhesive. No maker’s marks, factory stamps, or signatures are legible on the figurines as the bases are obscured by the mounting surface. One figurine is detached, revealing a flat unglazed base with dark adhesive residue. This lot comprises the animal figurines and the wooden display board shown in the images.
Condition report:
The figurines are adhered to a wooden board with adhesive (photos 1, 2, 3, and 4). One figurine is detached, showing dark adhesive residue on the base (photo 5). General surface wear is evident throughout the collection. The adhesive mounting limits the ability to inspect the bases for minor chips or repairs.
