A Victorian style button back upholstered nursing chair featuring a low-slung seat and a high, waisted back. The chair is upholstered in a blue and beige floral damask-patterned fabric, with deep button tufting to the backrest. The base of the seat is finished with a matching braided cord trim. The chair is supported by turned wooden front legs with a honey-toned finish, set on small metal casters, while the rear legs are slightly splayed. A small white rectangular tag is attached to the top edge of the chair back, though the text upon it is not legible.
Condition report:
The chair is in good overall used condition. The upholstery appears clean with no visible tears, heavy staining, or significant fraying (photo 1). The buttoning to the backrest remains secure. The turned wooden front legs show minor surface scuffs and light wear consistent with age and use (photo 2). The chair appears structurally sound and the metal casters are present on the front legs.
