This lot comprises four framed landscape photographic prints by the photographer Brian Wigley. The collection includes three monochrome prints and one colour C-print, each depicting topographic scenes in the South Hams district of Devon, United Kingdom. The monochrome prints show a rippled low-tide shore at ‘Rickham Sands’, an elevated view titled ‘Salcombe from Overbeck’s’, and a harbour scene at ‘Yealm Ferry & Coombe Down’. The colour print depicts a row of traditional thatched and white-washed cottages in ‘Stokenham’. Each print is mounted within a white window mat and housed in a contemporary black-finished frame under glass.
Each work is pencil-signed in the lower right margin ‘Brian Wigley’. The corresponding titles are inscribed in pencil in the lower left margins, and the prints for ‘Salcombe’ and ‘Rickham Sands’ are dated ‘1999’.
Condition report:
The prints appear in excellent overall condition with no visible signs of fading, foxing, or silver mirroring to the monochrome images (photos 2, 9, 10, 13). The colour C-print retains good saturation. The window mats are clean and free from discolouration. The contemporary black frames show only negligible shelf wear to the corners and edges.
