A set of five Mid-Century Modern teak and teak veneered dining items comprising a rectangular dining table and four matching chairs. The table is constructed with teak veneers over a solid timber frame, featuring a rectangular top with a distinctive raised, moulded edge profile, supported by four square-tapered legs. The four accompanying chairs are crafted with solid wood frames using mortise and tenon joinery, each featuring a broad, curved top rail positioned above three horizontal slats. The seats are upholstered in a textured blue-grey synthetic fabric. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the surfaces shown. This lot comprises the table and four chairs only; the other furniture and items visible in the background of the images are not included.
Condition report:
The suite shows signs of moderate use consistent with age and typical utility. There are scattered light surface scuffs and faint scratches to the table top finish (photo 1 and 2). The chair frames exhibit minor finish loss and occasional small nicks, particularly to the lower legs and back rails (photo 3 and 4). The blue-grey upholstery appears clean and in good overall condition with no visible tears or significant staining to the fabric (photo 1 and 4).
