This lot comprises two items: a framed maritime print and a rectangular wall mirror. The print depicts a three-masted sailing ship navigating through ice floes with icebergs and figures in the distance, rendered in a late 18th or early 19th-century Romantic style. The work is presented on paper under glass with a dark blue mat and a gilded wood frame featuring a beaded inner border. The second item is a rectangular wall mirror featuring a wide, black-finished frame with a fluted texture and square corner blocks accented with circular, brass-toned rosettes. No signatures, maker’s marks, or labels are visible on the print or the mirror frame.
Condition report:
The maritime print shows a significant diagonal reflection from an overhead light source in the lower-left area (photo 1), but no visible damage to the paper or matting. The gilded frame appears intact. The wall mirror frame and corner rosettes show no visible chips or losses (photo 2). The mirror glass appears clear with no visible silvering loss or scratches.
