A collection of Freemasonry regalia and ephemera housed in a black hard-shell briefcase featuring a combination lock and silver-tone hardware. The lot includes a Master Mason’s apron constructed from white leather or vinyl with light blue fabric borders, three pleated rosettes, and silver-tone tasselled fringe. Also present is a black pleated mourning cockade, a pair of white cotton gloves, and a black leather-bound book. The collection features several enamelled and gilt-metal jewels on various ribbons. One jewel consists of a light blue ribbon with a metal bar reading “No 2659” and a circular pendant inscribed “QUEEN VICTORIA LODGE 1897”. Another jewel features a dark blue enamel surround reading “GRAND CHARITY 1994 DEVONSHIRE”. A circular gilt medal depicts a laurel wreath, and a silver-tone medal shows a knight on horseback. Accompanying documentation includes a light green card for Queen Victoria Lodge No. 2659 with a central crest and the date 1897, and a typed letter on white paper referring to lodge business. The items are stored within a white fabric protective bag.


Condition report:

The collection shows visible age-related wear throughout. The white fabric protective bag exhibits significant foxing and brown spotting (photo 1). The Master Mason\'s apron shows minor creasing and light staining to the white central section (photo 2). Several jewels show light tarnishing to the metal components and slight fraying to the ribbon edges (photo 2). The white cotton gloves show minor discolouration from use (photo 2). The briefcase exterior appears in good condition with minor surface scuffs (photo 1).
