A collection of assorted jewellery and memorabilia items presented in two boxes. The first box contains a yellow-tone base metal pocket watch chain featuring a T-bar, swivel clasps, and a circular commemorative fob. The fob is embossed to the obverse with a crowned coat of arms surrounded by the text COMMEMORATING THE OPENING OF THE NORTHERN PARLIAMENT. The reverse is inscribed with the text THE NORTHERN PARLIAMENT OPENED ON THE 22ND DAY OF JUNE 1921 BY H. M. KING GEORGE V SIR JAMES CRAIG BART M. P. PRIME MINISTER CITY HALL BELFAST. The second box contains two rings, one bezel-set with a turquoise-coloured cabochon and the other with a carnelian-coloured cabochon, both featuring decorative openwork shoulders. Also included is a yellow-tone metal locket with foliate engraving, a small circular pendant containing a monochrome portrait photograph under glass, and a brass-tone military sweetheart brooch or insignia featuring a winged dagger and a scroll reading WHO DARES WINS. No purity hallmarks or maker’s marks are legible on the items.


Condition report:

The items show signs of age-related wear throughout. The pocket watch chain and fob exhibit surface scratches and areas of tarnish (photo 2). Small spots of green verdigris are visible on the reverse of the fob (photo 3). The locket and rings show surface abrasions and minor oxidation consistent with age (photo 1). The portrait miniature and glass appear intact. The Special Air Service style brooch shows minor surface tarnish but retains its form (photo 1).
