A group of framed artworks and a decorative mirror, primarily featuring British rural and industrial subjects. This lot comprises several landscape watercolours on paper, one oil painting on board, a sepia wash drawing, a framed metal plate, and a foliate mirror. The oil painting depicts a rural village scene executed with heavy impasto brushwork in a cream-coloured frame. The sepia-toned watercolour or wash drawing features a large farmhouse and bears cursive characters in the lower right corner, though the signature or initials are not clearly legible. The framed metal etching or engraved plate is titled in the lower margin as 19th CENTURY CORNISH TIN MINE. Also included is a watercolour and ink study of a rooster in a rustic wooden frame and an oval wall mirror with a molded, gilt-effect foliate frame. The collection is variously housed in gilt, wood, and composite frames, many with window mounts.

Condition report:

The paper supports and mounts across the collection exhibit varying degrees of age-related wear, including noticeable foxing and brown discolouration, particularly visible on the sepia farmhouse drawing (photo 1, 4). The mirror plate shows minor perishing and spotting to the silvering (photo 1, 3). Several frames show small scuffs and surface wear to the gilt and wood finishes (photo 1).
